EULALIA FIGUERAS CIVIT
Migration Law Specialist, International Migration Law Unit, International Organization for Migration
Eulalia is a human rights lawyer with over ten years of experience in the field of international law and migration. Since 2015, she has been working with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), serving in various capacities in the field of protection and development. After her period with IOM in Morocco, Eulalia has recently moved to Geneva to support IOM’s International Migration Law (IML) Unit as an International Migration Law Specialist.
Before joining IOM, Eulalia was based in Colombia where she worked with several international and civil society organizations in the field of transitional justice and human rights. She then moved to Geneva to work with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
Eulalia holds a master’s degree in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex (UK).
She will contribute to the EIHRSDS intensive course with a lecture on the rights of migrants in situations of disaster.
